about

Every story has a villain. For Holmes, it was his Moriarty. For Skye, it was Haines. Both were very similar evil masterminds. For this theme, I chose the cello and contra-bass to represent the baser motives of the villains. But of course, no true literary villain thinks of themselves as such. From their point of view, they are the hero of their own tale. To illustrate this I placed a set of piano melodies to counterpoint the deeper tones of the string section. To my mind, this represented the struggle between good and evil within each villain. The light and the dark, blending together into infinite shades of gray.

Dan L. Hollifield -- Studio-D Athens, Georgia

I just celebrated my 66th birthday in early November of 2023. Music has always been a big part of my life. Radio, school bands, garage bands, computer programs- I've loved it all. I can't remember a time when there wasn't music in my life. Now I'm trying to get it out of my head so other people can hear what I imagine. I hope you like what you hear. I'm having a blast creating it! Thanks! ... more
